Beware Of Cheap Online Insurance Quotes

Please be very aware when you are looking for a new auto insurance quote online.  Times have really changed and society as a whole is moving at a much faster pace.  No longer are the days of calling your local insurance broker office to setup an appointment so that you can get some new Auto Insurance, Add to your policy, or ask for a better rate.  When we want to find out something what do we do now?  We go to the Internet.  Usually you grab your phone, laptop, or computer and type in your favorite search engine and enter ion the item you are looking to research on.

When most people go online to get their auto insurance renewed or changed, they are looking for a policy that will give them sufficient coverage and most of all save them money.  With all the positives associated with getting your auto insurance quote  online, there is one warning Id like to point out today.  Don’t always just look at price when choosing your new auto insurance policy.  “Cheap” insurance is not always the best auto insurance for you.  Be sure to check out all the levels of coverage you are getting with this cheap auto insurance quote (s).  Sometimes your rate is super low because now you coverage is a lot lower and you deductible may be 2-3 times more than it was with your current policy.  Make sure to take your time and look over all the insurance quotes you receive when you are searching online.

If you see something missing on the new quote that you would like added, just reach out to the insurance company and have them put it on.  Make sure that you are not just going for the price of the insurance policy but make it a habit to evaluate the insurance quotes according to their value.

I would rather pay a little bit more for my premiums if it means that my customer service will be bar none.  Its all in how you evaluate your insurance quotes.

Should I Get My Own Auto Insurance?

Today we are going to be talking about the little people, I mean, teenagers.  One of the decisions you have to make when you first get your own car is whether you should get your own insurance policy or try and stay on your parents insurance for as long as you can.

Most youngsters when they are at that stage in life will want to get their own insurance until you go price it out and find out how much insurance companies want from you just to insure you. (Especially if you are still under the age of 25). Something to keep in mind when making this decision is this, your insurance policy will be at least 30% higher than usual until you get to the age of 25.  So with that in mind, here are some of the good and bad of this issue:

Good:

  1. If you stay on your parents insurance, your premium will be a lot lower because they have history of insurance, multiple policy discounts, and have a family discounts you would not qualify for right off the bat
  2. Since its your parents policy, they will probably be more lenient and let you pay your piece of the premium when its more convenient for you
  3. Because they  have established credit, they are given a discount because of this

Bad:

  1. Your parents will still be in control of you (where your insurance is concerned)
  2. If your parents have high end vehicles, you may have to pay a higher premium
  3. Sometimes your parents will have more options and higher limits on their policy because they are willing to pay for them but then that means your premium will be higher as well.

There are actually a whole lot more good and bad arguments on this subject but I just wanted to point out a few.  In the end, it is really all up to you.  Weigh out your options then you decide what to do.

4 Reasons Why You Should Shop For Auto Insurance Online

I had a young man ask me the other day what the difference was in getting your insurance online or going into a local office to get your insurance.  Well, today’s post will highlight some of the benefits of getting your auto insurance online.

  1. Ease & Comfort.  When you choose to get your Auto Insurance Online, you can do it in the comfort and privacy of your own home.  You can even go as far as to say you can get your insurance while in your underwear. (Try and do that at a regular insurance agents office)
  2. Discounts.  Usually companies will offer you much higher discounts when you purchase your Auto Insurance Online because in the last decade or so, more and more traditional brick & mortar companies are going global using the Internet.  With the advent and technological advances of the Internet, insurance companies are finding it more cost effective to do business online so this works out great for us.  They offer us big discounts to buy our insurance online.
  3. Ability to Compare.  To me, this is the greatest benefit of buying your auto insurance online.  When you are online, you are able to get quotes from multiple insurance companies and then compare them against each other before making your decision on which one suits your current needs the best.  Try doing that when you go into you’re local insurance agents office.  Lol.
  4. Less Stress.  When you use a online site to buy your auto insurance, you are not obligated to anything.  You don’t have to look at anyone in the eye and tell them that you are not interested.  You don’t have that element of pressure that is sometimes evident when you go to your local insurance office because there is no one there trying to sell you something so they can make their monthly sales quotas.
